'naps' chain

Sadie gauges things she looks forward to by how many naps she has left. Naps include sleeping at night too. So we made a chain of how many 'naps' she has left before we go to Grandma's.

get ready for a lot of pictures

We went to Utah a week ago for Tyler's brothers wedding. It was a great wedding and we are so happy for Curtis and Dorothy. They are great together. We had a good week there hanging out with family and friends.
Sadie and Reise at the temple for the wedding. They are such great friends!

Sadie has always called Jeff uncle puppy because she didn't like him when she was little, but we told her he was a puppy and she started to like him. But Jeff is refusing to let Parker call him that too...I wonder why? It isn't too bad of a name.

We hung out with our good friends Tanya and Erik and their cute little dog, Khloe

This picture makes me laugh because it looks like those funny glasses with the big nose hooked on them. (not that parker has a big nose or anything)

We went swimming quite a bit while we were there. The weather was great!!

happy birthday to me

It was my birthday a week ago and I really had a great birthday. Me, Sadie and Parker went to lunch with Tyler to Panera. My car wouldn't start when we were leaving to go have lunch so I had to have a neighbor come over and jump start it (thanks Casey). It hasn't started since that day. I think it is time for a new car. Birthday present?? Maybe next year!
It was such a nice day...really it was the only day that week that didn't have a tornado warning or severe thunderstorms. We all hung out outside all day and then we went to dinner with some good friends the Leany's and the Boss's. We went to one of my favorite restaurants, Texas Roadhouse. Have you had their rolls with the cinnamon butter? Oh man, they are delightful. And their ribs? They are to die for. Our waitress comped our meal because it was my birthday. Tyler ordered my favorite cake form Costco and we had cake and ice cream later with our friends. We have such great friends out here. Thanks to everyone who helped make my birthday so wonderful!!
some of our great friends out here

Sadie claimed the whole princess part of the cake

singing happy birthday

the girls were just sitting around the table talking and the cake was sitting there in front of us, so Melissa had a great idea to see who could eat the most cake with out their hands

a few got their faces smashed into their cake. Sadie actually joined in too, it was cute!!

oh i wish i were an oscar meyer weiner

It's not every day that an oscar meyer weiner truck pulls into the parking lot to pick you up for dinner. We actually weren't able to go because Tyler was being a good guy and he went to Iowa to help a single mom move. (I'll admit, I was a little annoyed that he was there). Here are some pictures of the weiner....

the weinermobile. my favorite part was that it played the theme song!

'blue steel'

This morning I opened my door to look outside and see how wonderful of a day it was and when I opened my door this is what was looking me...

It totally freaked me out and the first thought was that some freak was standing at my door waiting for it to open. Parker walked up and stopped dead in his tracks and just stared at it for a minute and then he started laughing. Sadie was upstairs and so I shut the door and told her to come down. I swung the door open when she got downstairs and it scared her too. They were laughing so hard at it. Parker was hilarious. I was holding him and he was laughing at it and as soon as I got closer to it, he started to grab on to me tighter. Thanks Boss's for the funny joke and the good laugh!!

This month we have planted.....

a garden

a tree for our front yard

and flowers in our front yard.

We have done a lot of fun projects with our kids. We have never had a garden so it is fun to go up there with Sadie and watch all the stuff grow. Sadie and Parker both love it! They get their shovels and dig away in the dirt!

~haircut!~

Tyler decided that he didn't trust me to give him a haircut because once, that's right just once I messed up just a smidgen. Nothing too noticeable. He says he got made fun of at school. Anyway, so Sadie gave him his haircut and I have to admit that she did quite the job.

staying updated

I really need to update my blog. It has been so long! I feel like I don't have any time to blog anymore, what a sad day...I love to blog. I am going to try to stay updated.

sadie the mommy

We had Gabe over at our house and Sadie was in HEAVEN!! She loves little babies so much. She always talks about when she is going to be a mommy. It is so cute. Parker actually likes him too...as long as I am not holding him! :)

**Coco Keys**

Last week we went to an indoor water park that is by our house. We went with our good friends Dave and Mindy and their family. It was so much fun!! The lazy river was Sadie's favorite, I think it was ours too. It was nice to just sit on the tubes and relax.

Sadie kept her goggles on all day. She had big red lines around her eyes when she took them off.

Sadie and Riley loved playing in the fountains.

Parker did too!

Can you believe Mindy is 8 months pregnant? She looks great!!

~pure sweetness~

I just have to post this because it was so cute...let me start off by saying that Parker is at that age where he wants everything that Sadie has and it really bothers Sadie. He also will push her away if she gets anywhere near anything that he is playing with. But today, I brought Sadie in for her nap and she asked for a popsicle. So I gave her the popsicle and Parker looks over and starts charging at Sadie full speed ahead. Sadie just looked at him and said in her cute baby voice that she does with Parker sometimes, "do you want some little boy". I sat and watched how this was all going to pan out and if I needed to go get a popsicle for Parker. He stopped as she put the popsicle in his mouth and helped him get little bites off. They just sat there laughing and being so sweet with each other. For a few minutes I watched them and it was one of those moments when I could not be happier being a mom. I love moments like that.

powdered sugar mess

Parker decided that it would be way fun to pull out a full bag of powdered sugar and pour it all over himself and the floor and then play in it. He managed to get some of it in his mouth too. When he realized that this stuff tasted good, he could not get enough of it, he just kept stuffing it in his mouth. I am not sure if I am ready for the upcoming months and years with Parker. I really should prepare myself! :)

Sadie got in on the action a little too. Why not? We already had one kid to clean.
