children's museum and miniature golfing

We went to the Children's Museum with Taylor's and White's today. It is Sadie's favorite place...it is amazing that it never gets old to her. Every time we go, she is as excited as the first time. It is way cute! Riley and her have a lot of fun together. Ryan and Parker just like to stare at each other and smile. Actually today they were holding hands as they sat in their strollers. I was so happy because Parker, for the first time in forever, took a nap almost the whole time we were there...heavenly! It was good times today.

garbage duty

The reason I took this picture is because Sadie gets so excited to take out the garbage with Tyler and this is the way they do it every time in the winter. I think it's pretty cute! It is a good thing he is wearing those shoes so that people will be able to see him in the dark and not hit him.

What do 4 wives do when they come downstairs to find their husbands all squished on a couch together.....spooning? Take pictures to use for blackmail!

President Gordon B. Hinckley

“The time has come for us to stand a little taller, to lift our eyes and stretch our minds to a greater comprehension and understanding of the grand millennial mission of this, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”

Beloved Church President Gordon B. Hinckley, who led The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through 12 years of global expansion, has died at the age of 97. President Hinckley was the 15th President in the 177-year history of the Church and had served as its President since March 12, 1995.

*flashback friday*

This was almost 2 years ago. We went to Cancun with Tyler's family and it was a blast! Sadie was a party animal for a week straight. I just remember all the little creatures that she loved to hold while we were there....a few lizards, a scorpion (it's stingers were cut off), crabs. She would have them crawling all over her and she would just laugh so hard. I felt like the biggest wuss next to her because I don't even get near those things.

anniversary

I just have to say that I have such a great husband! Yesterday was our anniversary and he brought me home these flowers. Sadie was really excited and thought that they were for her! I am thankful that I married someone like Tyler who brings humor to EVERY situation....wanted or not! He is known to make a situation completely awkward, but loves every minute of it, and he is so hard working and is such a great dad to our kids. I love ya babe!!

*flashback friday*

I forgot to post one last Friday, so here it is a bit late. Well in honor of our anniversary which is coming up this week, I thought that I would post a picture of Tyler and I on our first anniversary. We look so young!! Tyler planned this one and it was so much fun. He made it all a surprise for me. It has been 5 years for us now...wow time flies when your having fun!

out on the town

Last night we went out with our friends, Spencer and Natalie. We went to a place called Bonefish Grill. It was so yummy. We got calamari and lobster tails...I have never had either, so it was fun trying new things.

*flashback friday*

This was Sadie's 1st birthday. We kept telling her to dig in and get messy, but she did not want to get too dirty. She was so clean....even now she hates having her hands dirty. Parker would have wolfed down the thing before anyone else could get some and it would be all over him. (we'll see how he does in a couple months). I can't believe that she is 3 now and that we have another kid that will be 1 soon!

sadie & parker

sadie and parker are such great friends...most of the time. now that parker can crawl and get into her stuff, she isn't so sure about him. actually it is really cute because she usually will go and get one of his toys and give it to him and then take hers back. he always thinks it is a good trade.

I am not a motivational speaker or anything, but here are a few thoughts....

I have been reading a book that my sister Debbie gave me called 'The Secret' and although I don't necessarily believe everything this book says...I like the idea of it and I am loving reading it. It is about always having positive thoughts. And just those three words alone have changed my life. I have been trying to be more positive and it has made me realize that every situation that I encounter is a learning experience for me.
There is one specific quote that really struck me:
"If you are complaining, the law of attraction will powerfully bring into your life more situations for you to complain about. If you are listening to someone else complain and focusing on that, sympathizing with them, agreeing with them, in that moment, you are attracting more situations to yourself to complain about." I have witnessed this in my own life.
Another quote that I love is:
"If you thought that you were insignificant and had no power in this world, think again. Your mind is actually shaping the world around you."
I like this because in life you choose if you want to be happy or not, things happen, good and bad....but you are the only one that can decide how you are going to react to these situations and you decide if you are going to be negative, or positive. You create your life with your thoughts. I have made it a goal to be more positive so that I can have more happiness in my life.

a good reccomendation.....

While we were in Utah, we went to see Enchanted with Tyler's family and Sadie. It is such a cute show, definently a must see if you have kids...and even if you don't have kids. Tyler and I loved it. Sadie of course loved it too.
